Organizing Your Coupons
When I started couponing, I began with a small checkbook sized coupon folder that filed coupons in alphabetical order. You know, the kind you can find at department stores.
When I got serious about couponing, I found this system simply did not suit my needs. I was maintaining a price book and a coupon file and referring to each of them as I passed down a grocery aisle was making my shopping last far longer than it should. (Honestly, I hate shopping so I try to spend the least amount of time in a store as possible.)
So I found a way to incorporate my price book and my coupon file by using a three-ring binder. I’d insert a couple pages of 3.5” floppy disk keepers (six pockets per page) in between each price book page. Then I’d simply insert the coupons in the pockets that applied to the items on each particular price book page. This system has worked well for me.
